Routine Ultrasonography

Routine Ultrasonography

Safe. Simple. Accurate.

Routine Ultrasonography, also known as a USG scan, is a common and completely painless imaging test that uses sound waves to create real-time pictures of the inside of your body. At Atharv Diagnostic Center, we use the latest ultrasound technology to provide clear, accurate, and quick results—helping your doctor understand what’s happening inside your body without the need for surgery or radiation.

Why is Ultrasound Done?

Routine ultrasounds are used to examine various parts of the body including:

  • Abdomen – to check liver, kidneys, pancreas, gallbladder, and spleen

  • Pelvis – to study uterus, ovaries, urinary bladder, and prostate

  • Neck – for thyroid or lymph nodes

  • Soft tissues – like swelling, lumps, or abscesses

  • Early pregnancy checks and general fetal well-being

  • Follow-up scans to monitor medical conditions

It helps in diagnosing issues like pain, infections, growths, or abnormal blood flow—without any side effects.

What to Expect During the Test?
  • It’s done on an outpatient basis—you don’t need to stay at the clinic

  • A warm gel is applied on the area to be scanned

  • A small handheld device called a transducer is moved over your skin

  • The procedure usually takes 15 to 30 minutes

  • No needles. No discomfort.

Safe for All Ages

Ultrasound is one of the safest imaging techniques, suitable for children, adults, and pregnant women. There is no radiation, making it ideal for regular check-ups and prenatal care.
