Caring for Your Baby Before Birth

Pregnancy is a special journey—and medical imaging plays a key role in making sure your baby is growing healthy and strong. At Atharv Diagnostic Center, we offer high-quality Pregnancy Scans and Anomaly Scans to monitor your baby’s development and ensure your pregnancy is progressing normally.

Our scans are performed with compassion, expertise, and advanced technology—because every little heartbeat matters.

What is a Pregnancy Scan?

Pregnancy scans (also called obstetric ultrasounds) are safe and painless tests that use sound waves to create images of your growing baby inside the womb. These scans help:

  • Confirm your pregnancy

  • Check your baby’s heartbeat and movements

  • Monitor growth, position, and amniotic fluid levels

  • Detect multiple pregnancies (twins, triplets)

  • Estimate due date

Routine scans are done at different stages of pregnancy to track your baby’s development.

What is an Anomaly Scan?

Also known as the Level II Scan, the Anomaly Scan is usually done between 18 to 22 weeks of pregnancy. This is one of the most important scans and checks your baby’s:

  • Head, brain, heart, lungs, kidneys, spine, stomach, bladder, and limbs

  • Placenta location and amniotic fluid levels

  • Possible birth defects or structural abnormalities

This scan gives you and your doctor a clearer picture of your baby’s health, and helps plan any additional care if needed.

What to Expect During the Scan

  • The scan is non-invasive and completely safe for both mother and baby

  • It takes about 20 to 30 minutes

  • A clear gel is applied on your abdomen, and the sonologist moves the probe to get live images

  • Our experienced radiologists explain the baby’s position and findings gently and professionally
